Today we are talking about Introducing Instagram Stories. Instagram recently launched a new feature that lets you share all the moments of your day, not just the moments you want to save on your Instagram profile. As you share multiple photos and videos, they appear together in a slideshow format: and it is called Your Story. Some are referring to Instagram Stories as the adult version of Snapchat.
With Instagram Stories, you will not have to worry about over posting or overwhelming your followers. Throughout your day you can share as often as you want, showing your creativity. You can bring your story to life in new ways using text and drawing tools. Your photos and videos will disappear 24-hours after they are posted. They will not appear in your feed or profile grid.
You will see stories from people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed. These stories will be from your best friends as well as your favorite popular accounts that you follow. When something new has been posted by a follower, their profile photo will have a colorful ring around it, as shown in the photo below.
If you would like to view someone’s story, you just need to tap on their profile photo. You can easily view stories at your pace. To view stories, tap to go back or to go forward. You can swipe to jump to another person’s story. If you want to comment on something you see, you can tap and send a private message to that person via Instagram Direct. Unlike regular Instagram posts, you cannot like it, and you cannot leave public comments.
Your story will follow the privacy settings that you have set for your Instagram account. If your account settings are private, your story is visible only to your followers. However, you can also easily hide your entire story from anyone that you do not wish to see it, even if they follow you. You can swipe up to check out who has seen each of your photos and videos. You can even choose to feature a particular part of your story by posting it on your profile.
Instagram continues to be a place to share the moments you want to remember. Now you can share your highlights and everything in between.
Instagram Stories was rolled out over a few weeks, and it should be available to everyone now. It is available on both iOS and Android.
